Cisco Extends Support for Customers of Linksys By Cisco Brand in Brasil with New RMA Center

The company broadens its customer services with the launch of replacement center for products that will work under the same structure of pre and post-sales operations

SÃO PAULO, Brazil – June 9, 2009 -Cisco® is investing in the extension of the operation for its customer services related to Linksys by Cisco brand in Brasil with the launch of a new replacement center (RMA Center) that will deal with the returning processes for products within valid warranty.

Highlights:

  • This new service offers easiness and credibility for consumers to replace a product, putting them in direct touch with Cisco team responsible for Linksys by Cisco brand through the toll free number: 0800-8911336.
  • There is no need to contact the retailer or reseller if the product is beyond the return period deadline allowed under the normal retailer/reseller return policies. The replacement plan will be based on the sales volume for each product in Brazil and the demand control will be sent directly to the sales team who arranges the stocks in advance. This team will use replacement percentages to ensure availability even for products no more available in the market but with a valid warranty. Standard product warranty terms will apply for replacement of defective products and these terms are included with each product. Cisco will only support Linksys by Cisco products that were sold through authorized resellers and may require a proof of purchase to obtain an RMA.
  • The broadening of the customer service will help benefit consumers and Linksys by Cisco resellers, as the returning and replacement processes is planned to be completed faster. This new service will be available in the same phone number used for pre and post-sales operations, provided that the warranty period must not be expired and that the product must have been purchased in an official channel in Brazil.
