Optimized for Gaming & Video
The versatile Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming and Video Adapter can make a wired Ethernet-enabled device a part of your home’s wireless network. Connect it to a gaming console to get access to your wireless router and the Internet and play multiplayer, online games. And it’s optimized for streaming video, so you can connect it to an Ethernet-enabled HDTV, Blu-ray® Disc player, DVR or set-top box and discover a whole new world of Internet entertainment. You can also convert your wired-Ethernet printer, scanner, camera, storage device, notebook, or desktop so everyone in your family can access these devices wirelessly.
Wireless Compatibility
Since the adapter is based on Dual-Band Wireless-N, it works with any device supporting Wi-Fi standards, and is compatible with Wireless-G, -A, and –B products. You can operate the adapter in either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz radio bands to avoid interference from competing networks. Or you can push all your bandwidth-intensive activities like video streaming and gaming to the less-crowded 5 GHz radio spectrum for an optimal viewing experience.
Advanced Wireless Security
The Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming and Video Adapter is designed to set up on Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. Since there are no drivers to load, setup is a snap – configure the network settings through your computer’s web browser, then plug it into your device and go.
Simple Setup
To help protect your data and privacy, all wireless transmissions can be encrypted with industrial-strength Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) and WPA2 security. Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ helps make secure connections pushbutton simple.

WET610N Detailed Features
Dual-Band Wireless-N Ethernet Gaming and Video Adapter
The versatile Dual-Band Wireless-N Ethernet Gaming and Video Adapter is designed to connect wired Ethernet-equipped devices to your wireless network and Internet connection. Since there are no drivers to load, it works on any platform and under any operating system. Use it to connect your home video devices, game consoles, and more.
At Home
The Adapter connects your digital entertainment devices to your wireless network. The special video-optimization circuitry helps to create a strong, stable link to reduce video glitches when used to connect Ethernet-equipped HDTVs, Blu-ray players, DVRs, set-top boxes, media centers, and video recorders to your Wireless-N network.
It's also great for connecting gaming PCs and Ethernet-ready consoles like Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 or 3, and GameCube. You don't have to run Ethernet cable from the home office out to the living room to get your game boxes online for Internet play.
In the Office
In your small office, convert a Ethernet-wired printer, network storage device, notebook, or desktop for wireless connectivity. It works with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux computers, Media Center Extenders, DVRs, NAS devices – anything with an Ethernet port! The Adapter connects to any wireless standard; 2.4 or 5GHz Wireless-N, Wireless-G, Wireless-B, or Wireless-A. The included Cisco Setup Wizard software runs on both Windows and Mac, and walks you step-by-step through the initial setup of the Adapter with clear illustrations and jargon-free language.
Fast and Far
Wireless Speed and Range
The Dual-Band Wireless-N Ethernet Gaming and Video Adapter uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N. By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology gives you robust speed and range, and more complete coverage throughout your home.
- Works in either the 2.4 or 5 gigahertz radio bands
- Choose the band with the least interference in your area
- 24 available 5GHz channels using DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection) for even less chance of interference from other devices
- Optimized for streaming HD video
- Advanced Digital Signal Processor helps reduce video glitches
- Special algorithms (Low Density Parity Check and Maximum Likelihood Equalizer) for higher throughput for a given range
- Double Channel Width mode doubles the throughput
- Specially designed internal antennas provide great speed and range in an attractive, sleek case that looks good in any room
On-time delivery with QoS
To deliver your time-sensitive traffic efficiently, the Adapter features Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities. QoS tells your network to give priority to packets in time-sensitive streams like Voice (VoIP) or media (audio or video), so that these types of applications can deliver less garbled conversations and smoother digital video. The Adapter supports Wi-Fi MultiMedia (WMM) for automatic prioritization of traffic into four service levels.
Safe and Sound
Wireless Security
To help protect your data and privacy, the Adapter can encrypt all wireless transmissions with the latest industrial-strength 128-bit encryption.
- Choose the wireless security of WEP, WPA Personal, or WPA2 Personal
- Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ support for WPA2 secured wireless connections at the push of a button
